Cherokee South Plaza – Overland Park, Kansas – 118,000 square feet
In 2004, an affiliate of Tri-Land purchased the 118,000-square-foot Cherokee South Shopping Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Tri-Land concluded the shopping center has strong population density and income to reposition Cherokee South into a dynamic neighborhood shopping center.
Since acquisition, Tri-Land negotiated the lease termination of both the supermarket and drug store on favorable terms. Tri-Land is currently redeveloping and re-tenanting the shopping center. In September 2004, Tri-Land completed a $3.5-million private-equity offering of Cherokee South through a NASD Syndication.
